| Michael Rogers
Director of Policy, Programs and Outreach
Michael joined Wild Connections to do roadless area inventories in 2003 after working in Seattle as the government liaison and disaster planning specialist for the American Red Cross. As a volunteer, he facilitated the writing of the Wild Connections Conservation Plan, and came on staff in 2006. Michael has since utilized his knowledge of public lands policy and his skills as a community and government liaison to further the goals of Wild Connections. He lives in his hometown of Colorado Springs.
Lisa Smith
Organizer
Lisa temporarily stepped down from the Wild Connections board to become staff. She helps ensure vigorous citizen participation in wildlands advocacy. She is available for group presentations. She most recently coordinated the Hidden Gems campaign that proposes new Wilderness for the White River National Forest. As a former summer Wilderness ranger on the Holy Cross Ranger District she experienced hands on wilderness work and how management can sustain the natural and recreational values.She lives in Denver.
